SALICYLIC ACID

Salicylic Acid (BHA) peels work by breaking the bonds between the cells on the surface of the skin, so that old and dead cells can be lifted away.  Salicylic Acid peels often work better than water based AHA peels as BHA is lipid soluble.  This means that Salicylic Acid peels for acne or any other skin condition, is more effective at penetrating oily skin and breaking down the excessive amounts of oily substance (sebum) that clog pores. Studies have shown that BHA’s also destroys the bacterium, in the pores, responsible for  blemishes, blackheads, and rashes.

GLYCOLIC ACID  

Glycolic Acid (AHA) peels are a quick and easy treatments that require little to no down time, depending on the percentage of Glycolic Acid used (mild, medium, strong). Glycolic Acid peels improve the texture and firmness of the skin and they  are primarily recommended  to treat fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, hyperpigmentation, acne, scars, large pores, black heads, uneven skin tone and texture. 

LACTIC ACID  

Lactic Acid peels are treatments designed to target fine lines and wrinkles for sensitive skin types.  It removes the top layer of skin (epidermis), resulting in smoother and brighter skin.  Lactic acid is specifically used to treat sensitive skin, eczema, couperose, rosacea and other factors that contribute to a dull and uneven complexion. Other benefits of Lactic Acid include improved skin tone and reduced pore appearance.
